Inspired by Literature - A Graphics Contest!

THIS CONTEST IS OVER, ENTRIES ARE NO LONGER BEING ACCEPTED.

Welcome everyone, It's that time of year again, for T-D's annual contest! This year's contest is going to be just as fun and competitive as last year. The idea for the contest is to draw inspiration from a piece of literature. What that means is you must create a graphic based on a quote, poem, piece of prose, short story, novel, article, etc. Song lyrics are also acceptable forms of writing since most lyrics have meaning like poetry. As you can see the theme is pretty broad. If you're wondering exactly how graphics could be inspired by literature, think of it this way:

You can use a quote or figurative language used in a story as the title or filler text on your layout, or you can do something more abstract, try to re-create a scene from a certain passage in your graphics, or even try to uncover a the meaning and convey it through graphics.

The last day to submit entries will be Tuesday March 9th, entries received any later than 12:00 AM US Pacific time will not be considered in the judging. Also March 9th, a voting poll will be put up on the site to determine the voter's favorite award. The results of this poll will not affect the results of the contest, but the person who gets the most votes on the poll will win a popular vote award. The poll and judging will close on March 14th (to celebrate the second year of T-D's existence). If you have any further questions, please feel free to e-mail me directly, and I will reply to the best of my ability.
